Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.
I wanted to explore a new area so I went to the south part of Cougar reservoir and went up a forest road that paralleled the stream that runs out of the reservoir. I then cut through the woods and was amazed by the landscape. I think the water must get higher at times, but they had clear cut this large area probably when they were building the reservoir and it looked so strange with all the tree stumps there. I started thinking about how we have dominion over nature, and of course we need wood and water, but it's often so painfully obvious where man has left his mark.
