Description
This square-cornered staircase spirals down and around in the interior of an old brick building in the Old Market area of Omaha, Nebraska. In addition to the angular, Escheresque appeal of this scene, I particularly like the overall industrial look and the pipes used as handrails.
There's a black and white version of this one, complete with a white kitten on the landing, in my Black and White gallery.

Hi Nikolyn; I'm glad you decided not to add the cat; as I said before it is perfect as it is. Congratulation$$$ on your sale.
Nikolyn McDonald replied:
Thank you, Hany. I did add a cat but to a black and white version. If you haven't done so yet, I invite you to check it out. Really appreciate your support and comments.

I love staircases, and have done quite a number. But this one is truly outstanding. Love it.

I think it is PERFECT as it is; but of course, it is your vision... and who am I to say?!

Nikolyn; this is such an OUTSTANIDNG image in many ways more than one. First the composition is AMMMAZING and unique. It draws the eyes all the way around the staircase to what seems like an abyss. Second, the repeating lines and patterns are just out of this world and remind me so much of the Dutch artist Maurits C. Escher's style. Third, the textures are wonderful and well defined. The depth, the focus, the tones, all of it, make for an outstanding piece of imagery.

Thanks so much, Hany. I'm thinking of adding a white cat on the right hand landing . . . what do you think?
