I created this color pencil drawing in 1993. I think I had submitted it to the St. Louis Music Contest in 1992. I had won the contest three years in a row previously in 1989, 1990 & 1991. The Music Contest was sponsored by Blueberry Hill Records, owned by Joe Edwards. The contest covered all music genres. The year 1991 was the first year they did a CD case. The first two were record albums. I signed my name back then with my nickname, Jenny.

Genevieve Esson has a B.A. in Painting from Webster University, an award winning artist, her work is collected regionally and internationally. Esson is a painter and multi media artist. She has completed over 25 Public Art Projects. Her main medium is acrylics.
