This was a gift for a Vermont native. She had been to this sight and was very happy. I did an acrylic painting for her as well. I am not a trained artist, extremely amateur, but she was quite touched by the personal touch.

I first painted the background scene in watercolor, and then a separate painting of the old house. In my computer, I overlaid the house painting atop the landscape painting to get the effect that I desired......the house appears to be vanishing, as so many old buildings are.
