Item was lost in transit. Tough figuring out how to contact Fine Art. Finally received 6 weeks after placing order. Then received the original shipment.

I bought this tapestry for my mother who is in the final stages of lung caner. I wanted to brighten her room and bring her some cheer. I paid extra to have it shipped Next Day Air. We received the package 5 days after ordering. However, I was very diappointed at the taperstry when I opened it. It is very blurry and distorted. The fabric is OKAY somewhat thin, but not terrible. I have ordered many tapestries from another company recently as Christmas gifts for 1/2 the price that are way better quality and very clear and vibrant. I will not order again from Fine Art America....

Excellent quality. I am so pleased with my purchase, it's much better than I imagined. The image is crisp clear and the fabric is very good quality and hemmed all around. I have bought it to hang in my apartment in Tenerife which we have called The Kestrels as these birds fly and hover around it all day. I can't wait to return and hang it on the wall.

This is becoming the focal point of a four poster bed canopy.

It’s been almost two months and I still haven’t gotten my package after contacting Fine Art America multiple times. Would not buy from them again.

Artist's Description

The Eastern tiger swallowtail (Papilio glaucus) is a species of swallowtail butterfly native to eastern North America. It is one of the most familiar butterflies in the eastern United States, where it is common in many different habitats. It flies from spring to fall, during which it produces two to three broods. Adults feed on the nectar of many species of flowers, mostly from those of the Apocynaceae, Asteraceae, and Fabaceae families. P. glaucus has a wingspan measuring 7.9 to 14 cm (3.1 to 5.5 in). The male is yellow with four black "tiger stripes" on each fore wing. Females may be either yellow or black, making them dimorphic. The yellow morph is similar to the male, but with a conspicuous band of blue spots along the hindwing, while the dark morph is almost completely black. The green eggs are laid singly on plants of the Magnoliaceae and Rosaceae families. Young caterpillars are brown and white; older ones are green with two black, yellow, and blue eyespots on the thorax. The c...

About Judy Whitton

I am a self taught photographer and a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana. My love of photography started out in the late 60's when I was given a box camera to use. Back then the rolls of film I was given to use were few and far between. So, that taught me to be very selective about what I took photos of. Somewhere along the line I was given a 110mm instamatic camera and didn't buy my first and only 35mm camera, a Nikon EM, in the early 80's. In 2002 at a family reunion, my uncle was showing me his digital camera. I was totally fascinated at the idea of being able to take as many photos as I wanted without having to buy film or have it developed. Shortly afterwards, I bought my first digital camera, the Sony Mavica CD400. I used...
