And because a child is very small, the field that we view as an adult as a not unmanageable size for walking through is simply enormous, and the very act of walking from the river – located between the blazing orange trees and the embracing hills – is a grand adventure, one filled with dragons and wizards, or lions and tigers.
Effervescence, the artwork, invites the viewer into the life and mind of a child, walking in the warm sunlight of a country autumn day. There is nothing of any pressing need to be done, except perhaps keeping the hat from blowing off in a slight breeze, and the child is free to dream, to daydream, to imagine and pretend.
This is an aspect of childhood that is eminently normal and necessary, but too often, the child of “modern” day is scheduled out of her mind: for dance lessons, and piano, and sports, may...
I am a fine art painter who creates representational images celebrating light, life, and color. A commercial illustrator for more than 20 years, I have been painting for most of my life, and in the last 18 years have focused exclusively on fine art. I celebrate images that invite the viewer to step into the artwork and experience a sense of joy, peace, freedom, encouragement, meditation, and thought.
