Description
If you visit Paris with the aim of taking pictures, you end up taking photos of the landmark Eiffel Tower from every imaginable angle! It is just that iconic, beautiful, amazing, and maybe a little surreal. Viewed from the park on the Trocodero side, the Eiffel Tower is impressive as it towers above all the surrounding trees and buildings. It is like a mountain...it seems so close but as you walk towards it, it doesn't seem to get any closer! On this day, the cloudy and stormy weather seemed minutes away. Zoning restrictions in Paris limit the height of most buildings to seven stories making the height of the tower even more dramatic. Constructed in 1889 as the entrance to the 1889 World's Fair, it was initially criticized by some of France's leading artists and intellectuals for its design, but has become a global cultural icon of France, one of the most recognizable structures in the world, and the most visited attraction in Paris.
