Description
This wonderful print of classic schooner Eleonora and two J Class yachts, Ranger and Velsheda, show them racing at the Round The Island Race during the Royal Yacht Squadron's Bicentenial International Regatta, 2015.
Eleonora is an exact replica of the schooner Westward. Westward was launched on March 31, 1910. She was one of the most famous and best known racing schooners in the world. Eleonora was built at the Van der Graaf shipyard in Holland and was launched in March 2000. Since then, she has successfully participated in a number of classic sailing regattas, most recently at the Superyacht Cup, Palma.
The original painting was based on a superb reference photograph taken by sports photographer, Alex Irwin.
