Love this! Got one for me and one for a friend. I framed it in a red painted frame to which I added red glitter. So cute!!

Love the painting, Hypatia is so pensive, I believe she is pondering her latest experiment!!! The muted colors add to the calmness of the painting.

this appears to be a printer (ink jet) type print. I was disappointed with the quality. I'm sorry.

Artist's Description

Elissa is a three masted, iron hulled sailing ship built in 1877 in Aberdeen, scotland by Alexander Hall & Company. She measures 205 feet and her height is 99 feet, 9 inches. Her restoration was completed in 1983 by the Galvation Historical foundation. She is not a replica like some other tall ships but a surviver. She carried variety of cargos to port around the world for over 90 years. Her working life ended in Piraeus Harbor, Greece, where she was rescued by ship preservationists. Today Elissa is much more than an artifact from bygone era. She is fully functional vessel that continues to sail annually during sea-trails in Gulf of Mexico. She is housed at Texas Seaport Museum, pier 21, Galveston, Texas.
