The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

Therefore the Cubists rejected Rennasaince space, the lie of perspective. The Impressionists however, it seems, were not bothered so much by the question of falsehood, rather sought a more realistic image, in matter of color (shadows are not just dark), in matter of space (air is tangible), boundary (there is a constant active interchange between form and space), etc. Even Cezanne, it seems was troubled mostly to represent �seeing� more correctly and to reserve to Art Renaissance balance and structure that was lost by the Impressionists. Gauguin however stood out amongst the pioneers expounding the virtues of the flat plane of the picture�s surface, that a painting be primarily a configuration of shapes and colors, and if he, admittedly, never rejected illusion of form and space, rather seemed to prefer that it duel with graphic image for prominence.
