Artist's Description
If you put your hand over his left eye, it's "Dreamy Elvis," if you put your hand over his right eye, it's "ornery Elvis." He's been known to be both and I wanted to capture it in one portrait.

This is PHENOMENAL dear Marlene, you have an amazing gift, and this really makes me think of my uncle, (Elvis was his favorite, actually every time I listen to Elvis I shed a tear for my departed uncle) ♥ I love how you said "If you put your hand over his left eye, it's Dreamy Elvis, if you put your hand over his right eye, it's ornery Elvis" ♥ F/L & following
Marlene Kupau replied:
Thank you so much Heather! Yes, everytime I hear, Can't Help Falling In Love" I think of my mom. Your uncle, my mom, I'm sure are kicking it with Elvis listening to him sing on a bunch of clouds in Heaven. :) Thank you again for your generous compliments.
Jerry Bokowski
Jerry Reed once said of Elvis, "When I saw him the first time...he was one of the best looking dudes...I ain't no fool... Damn if you are the best looking thing I've ever seen...kind of wish I was a girl right now!" You can google his quote for a word for word. Your portrait of him is excellent, Marlene!..fav / like
Marlene Kupau replied:
Yes! I love it! It's pretty cool that Jerry Reed was so comfortable with himself that he could honestly say another man was handsome. Cool dude. Thank you for the comment!!!! :)

Yes Marlene it does capture him as in your description. Elvis of the Fifties, his films reflect that. I loved Elvis of the early to middle sixties after he got out of the army. Love all of his singing, my favorites being his ballads. Barbara Stanwyck had a role in his movie "Roustabout" and said of him, "He was always on time, had impeccable manners, and always knew his lines." That always stuck with me. Keep up the good work! LV/FV Janet
Marlene Kupau replied:
God, that makes me love him even more!!! What a class act! Thank you for sharing this! :)
