Absolutely loved my print. The depth and details are spectacular and the quality of the print is fantastic. I framed this in a white frame and didn't have the exact size handy so kept the lower space intentionally open. I love how it came out.

I bought this for a friend who lived in France for many years. Now that she is back in the states she misses France her favorite country. When I spoke with her on the phone she absolutely loved it. It showed all the places she lived or visited. She loved that it had an antique flair. She is getting it framed when she can. This my gift for her to bring up her spirits. She has stage 4 cancer. We live in 2 different cities & are comrades & would do anything for each other. When I saw it in the website I knew I had to buy it. Great work. Artist's Description
For my show at Gallery 114 in August 2015, I had started a series of abstract landscapes. My idea behind the series was that the sky is always changing and shifting. How beautiful would it be to capture a single moment and enjoy it for as long as you desire? With each abstract landscape, I feel I have captured a very unique moment in time with each painting.
I painted this series using only painting knives. Layer upon layer of paint brings intrigue and interest in the textures created and colors used. Some of the paint is applied thickly (impasto) and other times it is applied then scraped off to reveal the layer underneath.
About Nathan Rhoads
Nathan Rhoads is an versatile artist working in Portland, Oregon. He earned his BFA in 1998 from Point Loma Nazarene University. His primary medium of choice is oil. Nathan's work ranges from abstract to representational. He takes on a lot of commissioned projects, both abstract and representational. The spirit realm is his muse. Most of his work deals with the spirit realm whether it be representational or abstract in nature. Nathan works as a graphic designer. When not painting, he spends time with his 2 boys and dog exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
