My Roses garden has an Emerald River running through it. Beautiful place to dream....even the lady bugs like it! The Emerald River is a short river in British Columbia. It is about 6.5 km long and drains the waters of Emerald Lake to the Kicking Horse River. The river exits the lake�s south end and flows in a southern direction for about 6.5 km to its mouth which is located at almost exactly the same place as the mouth of the Amiskwi River. It picks up three named tributaries; Hamilton Creek, Russell Creek and Kendel Creek.

Barbara St. Jean was born in Maple Ridge, BC. At the age of four she was introduced to Belle Morse from the Maple Ridge Merry Makers and her career in the arts was started. Over the next 26 years she studied dance and acting, and performed in hundreds of well known theatre productions throughout the province. Many of her performances have been televised and are still shown today. In 1980 Barbara opened her own dance studio in Mission, BC and shortly after, received her accreditation in choreography. She graduated from university in 1989 with a degree in Business and Economic Management. Her love of the arts continued to grow and expanded into drawing, sculpting and painting in the early 80�s.
