This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.

Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

Abstracts in the Evolution, Rebirth and Emergence Series are unique, original paintings.
Throughout my life I have been fascinated by the beauty of gemstones, minerals, crystals and stained and blown glass. Inspired by the transparent and luminous colors, I set out to create the depth and color present in stones such as agates and opals and the free flowing movement of color in blown glass. I pour multiple layers of various types of paint and pigments as well as minerals, rocks and semi-precious stones that I have finely ground by hand onto a black canvas. I tilt the canvas allowing the colors to flow freely. Each layer of color is then covered with several layers of clear enamel and resin, building numerous layers to achieve a textured, three-dimensional result. Some pieces even have chunks of sea glass as well as larger, more coarsely ground pieces of semi-precious stones embedded within them. The finished piece can be hung in any direction and framed with or without glass....

I have been interested in art since Kindergarten. It was my favorite subject in school - receiving good grades, probably for effort! My "formal" instruction consists of 2 years of High School art classes. I discovered early on that drawing and painting are the best ways for me to display and describe myself and my emotions. I think I do my best work when I'm anxious or upset - kinda crazy? I love the outdoors, plants and animals of all kinds and all things Irish. I wasn't able to take a decent photograph until Mother's Day of this year(2005)when my husband bought a Kodak Easy Share 7950. I've been having a ball with it ever since!
