My heart aches for the gentle soul of a teen-aged boy trying to find where he belongs. Sometimes, the world just seems to be overwhelming. An empathetic friend and faithful companion is a good listener who always comforts the spirit, chases away the loneliness and helps heal the hurt.
This is #2 of 7 interior illustrations for author, Jean Little's book called Forward Shakespeare about a guide dog in training who becomes the faithful companion of a blind teenager. The book was published by Orca Books. Jean Little is from Ontario Canada.
My goal was to illustrate the dog's empathy, kind sympathetic nature and loyalty to his teenage master.
