This painting makes me happy!! The colors are really fun and, like his other pieces I own, expertly painted. I want to live in this cottage and walk into the ocean. Ordered it on canvas - well executed. Thank you for the smiles!
Artist's Description
First introduced in 1951 as a body style in the Plymouth Cranbrook, the solo Belvedere name joined the Plymouth line as full-sized model in 1954. The era of the fin took off in 1957, and the Chrysler Corp kept pace with GM. While Ford never fully embraced the radical fins of General Motors and Chrysler, the fins reached a zenith in 1959 and quickly faded by the early 60s.
Here the camera angle emphasizes the 1959 Belvedere fin, a style that played second fiddle to the new ostentatious Plymouth Fury.
