Absolutely loved my print. The depth and details are spectacular and the quality of the print is fantastic. I framed this in a white frame and didn't have the exact size handy so kept the lower space intentionally open. I love how it came out.

I bought this for a friend who lived in France for many years. Now that she is back in the states she misses France her favorite country. When I spoke with her on the phone she absolutely loved it. It showed all the places she lived or visited. She loved that it had an antique flair. She is getting it framed when she can. This my gift for her to bring up her spirits. She has stage 4 cancer. We live in 2 different cities & are comrades & would do anything for each other. When I saw it in the website I knew I had to buy it. Great work. Artist's Description
Head of a European Hornet, Vespa crabro. To either side of the head are the large compound eyes consisting of thousands of individual units called ommatidia that produce a mosaic-like image. The three structures between the eyes, above centre, are the ocelli. These are light sensitive, and their function is thought to lie in the maintenance of stable flight. The European hornet is widespread throughout Europe, and is also now present in North America. Females are capable of delivering a painful sting, but in general hornets are not aggressive unless provoked. Like other Vespidae, they make a nest from chewed twigs and wood. Their diet consists of other large insects, including wasps, moths and bees; in late summer they are often to be found hunting near nectar sources such as flowering ivy (Hedera helix).
