Captured during a recent trip through eastern Minnesota. A spectacular Taylor Falls sunset had me in pursuit of a nice image.
In the midst of exploring off the main road, I came across a most rustic barn. As I exited the car I became aware of the horses out front of the weathered structure. They posed as if a faithful reminder of what the American homestead once was. Slowly approaching the property for a closer angle, both the property's farmer and myself simultaneously became aware of each other's presence. I introduced myself to the farmer. The old man stood average height, skin rich and characterized from his history of rural labor. I asked permission to capture a photograph of his horses.
