Description
I painted this impressionistic watercolor of dusty rose butterflies by using wet colored tissue paper, and water soluble wax pastels... and then letting some of the colors merge into one another to create this soft and transparent, dreamy effect.
As I look at these impressionistic butterflies I'm reminded of the dreamy state we are all familiar with when we wake up and sometimes can't quite remember what the dream was about, because it seems to be fading so fast. We'd like to go back and re-visit that beautiful dream state we were in, but the fading dream cannot be recaptured because the day has begun.♥
