Description
By parking across the street, you enter the park and walk towards history. You cross the bridge and can hear the marching boots travel back through history to echo around you. This was the opening battle of the Revolutionary war. The militia met the British at the Old North Bridge and tension was high. Each side taunting the other and neither willing to withdraw. Suddenly a shot rings out and both sides begin to fire. Who fired that fateful shot history fails to record but history was made.

Fantastic coincidence -- I just learned about this battle in a book I'm reading about the Revolutionary War. This picture really makes it come to life.
