This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

Taken at a local farm in Portsmouth, RI with the TtV method of photography. TtV is done by shooting your digital camera through the lens of an old, fixed focus duoflex camera. The result is a dusty,old, nostalgic square photo with a signature black border.
About Susan Schumann
I am a mostly self taught photographer. It started long before I had a camera. My parents would take me for long drives as a child and I'd watch the scenery through the viewfinder of my back seat window. I'd watch an object or scene from every angle and at all times of the day. I also have such fond memories of dancing in the shadows of the great maples trees that lined my street. Observing the lighting and patterns around me. As an adult, I attended the Rhode Island School of Design for Advertising and Print Design. That is when I took my first photography class and created my first darkroom in the bathroom of my apartment. I am currently shooting all digital, a role I reluctantly accepted. I freelance in graphic design and...
