Great painting! I love the story too. I’m a little naive when it comes to stories like this one. Is that really true? I have been around a lot of chickens and have never experienced such a tale. Not the veggies and fruit part but the rooster caring for the eggs and chicks. Voted.

I love chickens so was attracted to your painting. Very nice. I like everything the others have said. One way to strenghten a future painting, consider some feathers going off the page to the left and overlap of the wabble with the wood shelf. It will continue a visual dark pattern that the eye can pick up.

Wonderfully harmonious pallet and a strong sense of design present this emotionally compelling story with such clarity and skill as to make words almost superfluous. Nice visual flow overall! Your attention to detail in the feathers and peppers balanced by the abstracted forms of the nests, boards and the leaves accentuates the storyline very well. Well done, Adam! V

Adam, This is not only a lovely painting but a lovely story. I have 50 chickens and 4 roosters. not only is Veru taking care of the little newborn chicks he is also keeping the eggs to be hatched warm. I think the chili also keeps other animals from attacking his nest... smart rooster Great Picture Voted
