Beautifully expressed rendition of the Shrine of the Bab. The frame and matting showcase the print. We have it prominently on our living room wall with other sacred pictures.

I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.

About this piece: As you are well aware by now, mosquito training is a frustrating (but surprisingly common) line of work. Most mosquito handlers prefer to feed their pets blood that is readily available at any pet store just for this purpose. Not this trainer. He is depicted here feeding his 200-pound pet directly from his own finger. He says it develops a stronger owner-pet bond. He assures me that it’s perfectly safe because he has had his pet checked for malaria and other transferable diseases. However, mosquitoes of this size normally consume about 1.5 liters of blood in a feeding…. three feedings per day. Please consult other sources, including your physician, before allowing mosquitoes of any size to drink your blood.
