We made this duvet for my niece who had low res. pictures and 3 cats. It came out fantastic. This is my second duvet and they both amazingly soft and perfect. Can't wait to do another project.

Our granddaughter is enchanted with dragons and cats -- this was the perfect choice for a duvet cover! I was especially impressed with the fact that I got to customize the border color of the duvet cover. The art work is beautiful and expressive. I was very happy to find FineArtAmerica. We looked for suitable dragon duvet covers for a long time before landing on this site. So many outstanding artists! Thank you.

Artist's Description

"Fencing Practice" is a photograph of two reenactors at the 2012 Rebels and Redcoats reenactment at Pioneer Village in Phoenix, Arizona. The English term fencing dates to the late 16th century when it denoted systems designed for the Renaissance rapier. This image was given a Calotype style treatment to give it an old-time look. Calotype or talbotype is an early photographic process introduced in 1841 by William Henry Fox Talbot using paper coated with silver iodide. The term calotype comes from Greek words meaning "beautiful", and "impression". Talbot made his first successful camera photographs in 1835 using paper sensitized with silver chloride, which darkened in proportion to its exposure to light. This early "photogenic drawing" process was a printing-out process. The paper had to be exposed in the camera until the image was fully visible. A v...

About Priscilla Burgers

I was born and raised in the Metropolitan New York City area of New Jersey but have lived in Arizona for forty years. After retiring from high school counseling and teaching thirteen years ago, I discovered the joy of photography and digital art. Although I strive to get the shot right in the camera, I enjoy the artistic and creative aspects of working with image editing programs. Capturing the beauty of God's creation with landscape photography was my first passion. I thank God for his creations and that I am fortunate enough to see and capture a part of them with my camera. I have also come to enjoy many other facets of photography, such as wildlife, American Western, farm, church, and ghost town photography. I take great pleasure...
