The fox has always been my spirit animal, and this particular piece by Nic really captures the essence of that connection. Ironically, about four years ago I purchased a painting that could have been The Fox and the Forest's brother from another mother. That painting now hangs in my bedroom as a companion to this work. She is described as having "a head full of ideas, imaginary places, and quirky creatures . . ." The Fox and the Forest is a perfect combination of the imaginary and the quirky.
This classic bass guitar is a Fender Jazz Bass from 1974. The Jazz Bass (or J Bass) is the second model of electric bass created by Leo Fender. It is distinct from the Precision Bass in that its tone is brighter and richer in the midrange and treble with less emphasis on the fundamental frequency. It has a more focused tone than the Precision Bass, with less low end and low midrange.
