The F40 was designed to celebrate Ferrari's 40th anniversary with the most enthusiastic owners in mind; those who want nothing but sheer performance. While Ferrari originally planned to produce only 400 units, the demand for Ferrari's fastest car to date proved so strong, the final production number would ultimately total 1311.
