This fine painting of the Tree of Life or ”Yggdrasil” as it is known in the old Nordic mythology - we live in the nordic part of Europe, in Sweden. When you look at this painting, many thougts comes to your mind.

When I saw this image, I knew I had to have it. Since it wasn't available in apparel or greeting card format, I bought it as a poster and bought a frame so I could hang it in my room. I had to crop the white border by hand, though. Easier said than done, believe me. But the results are worth it. Rarely have I seen such a splendid combination of innocence and female beauty.

Unfortunately this artwork remains rolled in the tube. The 36 x 35 enlargement I ordered had lost clarity and was too blurred to spend money on framing. It's a lovely piece - but stick with smaller sizes to retain clarity of original work.

My hotel was on the opposite side of the harbour and I set off during early morning to capture this scene of the mariner at Fethiye from a boat yard where I was offered lunch by boatbuilders under a huge tarpaulin which acted a kitchen. They had never seen a canvas painted like this before and frequently came over to check its progress between bouts of welding and other boatbuilding duties.I am not a stranger to working people all around the world as I frequently fin...
