I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.

These are creations before the digital era utilizing various methods to create surreal, abstract and unusual images before the ease of digital photoshop. Some images are also manipulated digitally. I have never been a purest in the world of art. I have used colouring dyes, double, triple images sandwiched together, acids to eat away emulsion, oils, gelatine, anything i could think of utilizing in the golden days of film photography. I traveled all over North America with a Cree Elder, Vern Harper doing vision quests, sweat lodge ceremonies and photographing everything along the way.

Patrick Wey’s work has shown to acclaim in Paris, Stockholm and throughout North and Central America. In the late 90′s, Patrick’s surreal photo-animated special ‘An Urban Elder’ was featured on CBC Television and was later released for sale in video.
