Love the image, but not the fabric. Does not absorb moisture well.

Very nice little towel, fits perfectly in our Japanese theme bathroom.

Extremely poor quality, complete rip off as picture disappeared after the first wash. The wash was a cool programme for delicates and the towel was washed on its own. I won't ever order from them again

Artist's Description

"Viva Zapata" (1952) is a fictionalized motion picture of Mexican revolutionary hero Emiiano Zapata. A year after making "A Streetcar Named Desire," Marlon Brando and director Elia Kazan are reteamed. John Steinbeck wrote the fanciful screenplay. The photos of Agustin Victor Casola, who documented the revolution, were carefully studied and recreated. The movie has the usual cast of thousands. www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAc5p68U6oI A real oddity is this 1947 screen test of a 23 year old Brando for "Rebel Without a Cause." About David Lee Guss

David Lee Guss

I first became obsessed with photography and motion pictures while growing up in post WW2 Manila in the Philippine Islands in the late 1940's/early 1950's. Film noirs were a particular influence. But my first love remains the theater. I acted in numerous amateur productions from 1958 to 1978. In 1979 I earned a MA in drama from the University of Arizona; earlier getting a BA in English from the University of Minnesota, where I co-founded the first film society on campus and ran it for four years. While at the U of A, I studied with the master black and white photo essayist W. Eugene Smith (1918-1978) the last year of his life. I am the last person cited in Jim Hughes' definitive biography of Gene, as I wrote about attending his final...
