Description
Filtered photograph of the Sellafield nuclear plant, Cumbria, England. At left are the cooling towers of the Calder Hall nuclear reactors. The two cube-shaped buildings at right of cooling towers house the original Windscale reactors which were closed after a major fire in 1957. The metallic dome houses the prototype AGR (Advanced Gas-cooled Reactor), now disused. The nuclear fuel reprocessing plant is seen to right of the AGR.
