The hose connection side of a fire truck from the Silver Lake Fire Department located in the Town of Wallkill NY. This was taken just before the annual fireman's parade inspection. Of course this department takes home the trophy for best apparatus.
Original taken with 35MM color slide film, hand processed and converted to digital.
About Guy Harnett
It was in 1980, while taking a class in High School, I fell in love with photography. Back then it was a simple 35mm Minolta SRT SCII Single Lens Reflex camera. It started out as an expensive hobby. For those who have not experienced the art of film, it certainly was a painstaking art form. What used to take hours and even days to manipulate an image in the darkroom, takes merely minutes with the advent of digital imaging. Add to this the fact that you would not be able to even see an image prior to processing and developing. Each image taken was carefully executed to minimize the amount of film used and time spent for processing, not to mention the costs of chemicals etc...
