While heading out of Oceanside, New York on a beautiful fifty five degree day at five thirty in the morning. I was able to capture this gorgeous sunrise rising over the horizon at six thirty in the morning as we started to breakaway from the five mile an hour zone and started to head east to go towards Montauk Point and fish for stripers and blues. The day started out great as the charter boat I had chartered with my friends hit some great weather with the tempertures in the mid 50 degree range all day. We were able to catch some nice stripers in the beginning of the morning with a great sun over our heads. As the day went on the clouds started to roll in and the fishing dried up but just around 1:00 pm as the clouds were still hanging over our heads the swells in the water began and the fishing really began to pick up again even better then the early morning fishing. Then a small bit of mist began along with a really thick fog and we started our three hour trip back to the dock after we had max-ed out on our fishing. Overall great 14 hour day of fishing with great catches of stripers and blues.
