Description
Flint Creek is a scenic small stream near my home with many small waterfalls and pools. The scenery is very inspiring year around. The creek flows in a northerly direction and flows into the Canadaigua Outlet outside of Phelps, New York. This section between Clifton Springs and Phelps flows under Ontario Pathways 2 times. The pathway, originally a railroad bed, is a great walking path to get in a good walk especially on a crisp, fall morning. It’s a great spot for birding with many songbirds, raptors and various water birds. Along the path you can see the majority of trees normally seen in the northeast hardwood forests including Maples, Red and White Oaks, Hickory as well as some of the softer but mighty Sycamores and many large Willows.
