Iris have such a delicate and gentle beauty not unlike a soft silky material but even more fragile. Some people think love is fragile and it most definitely can be but it is also one of the strongest emotions similar to the hardest metals on earth or like a diamond brilliant and hard, and yet as soft as a new born baby, a soft breath, silky soft material that glides over your skin. It should be treated kindly, respectfully and cherished. These are the thoughts that an Iris brings to mind when I see one of these beautiful flowers. I wish that both of these loves combined would fill all hearts everywhere, for with love then there would be no need for hatred, hurt, wars and instead we could replace those negative things with happiness and peace which in turn would help to fill all hearts around the world with joy and understanding of the basic principle of life and that is to "Love the Lord Our God With All Our Heart, Mind and Soul, and To Love One Another As We Love Ourselves." In doing so we could erase so many hurtful and damaging things that go on in the world. For if we love our creator with that strong love, how could we then not love one another and others. In my hopeful heart and mind there would be no room left for the ugliness we humans sometimes manage to create and spread to others. Again I regress to the little girl who wished growing up that this kind of love, and peace could exist everywhere and apparently I haven't out grown those wishes and surely hope I never do. Blessings of love and Peace to All!
However I do tend to forget things and this was created with a photograph I took in the Spring and used digital art to create a painting of this Iris I so cherish. Thank You.
