The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

This tree began as a seedling in a major campsite of central Texas Indians 13,000 years ago. Early settlers told of Indians leaving messages to others who would follow by weighing down the upper stem of young trees horizontally to indicate their direction of travel. Such distortion from the vertical may be evident in this tree called Founders Oak in New Braunfels, Texas.
Located just over five-hundred feet from Comal Springs, Founders Oak has stood sentry to centuries of travelers and settlers to the Guadalupe River region. From 1756-1758 Nuestra Se'ora de Guadalupe, a Spanish Mission, was located near the springs. Run by two friars and under citizen guard, Nuestra Se'ora de Guadalupe was home to four Spanish families and forty-one Indians. The mission was abandoned in 1758 due to increasingly dangerous raids by Native Americans.
Prince Carl of Solms-Braunfels, Commissioner General of "The Society for the Protection of German Immigrants of Texas", came to the area in M...
Photography is all about using light to capture the emotion and beauty of a fleeting moment. For me, this adventure began with a single spring image using a small Kodak film camera of a freshly watered central Kansas ditch and has come full circle using modern digital techniques. My first camera was acquired by trading an ancient Royal typewriter to a fellow college student who was desperate to finish a term paper. It was a long time ago and that camera was my passport to an art that has fascinated me ever since. I owned and operated a professional studio in central Kansas for 20 years and moved to Colorado in 1994. Part of the studio's early success came from creating outdoor portraiture using controlled lighting...
