The Foxglove is a favorite of mine. It's bright colors, spotted interior, and hairy growths has intrigued me for the past several seasons. I recently learned that it's scientific name (digitalis purpurea) means "finger-like," in reference to it's ease of fitting over a finger.
I'm a retired special education teacher currently living in Southwest Michigan, although the majority of my life was spent in the Chicagoland area. I have enjoyed photography since I was a teenager, and got my first SLR camera at age 20. Now, I spend most of my time taking photos of the plant and animal life that surrounds me. Trips always offer new and additional opportunities, including landscape and cityscape photography. Posting much of my work on Facebook, I've received encouraging comments from family and friends, so I felt this was the next logical step.
