I purchased this tote bag with my art on it so I could see the quality of the product. As an artist, I am putting myself out there with hopes that buyers will receive a quality product. After all, my name is all over it. I'm pleased to say, this 18" x 18" tote bag not only met my expectations, but exceeded them. The colors could have been a bit brighter, but other than that, a 5 star product

First I made a small physical collage, which incorporated a postage stamp from France, some text, some paint, and torn papers. To this I added a variety of photos, including photos of my own hand-painted papers, some book repair tape, random mathematical calculations that were scribbled on that same book repair tape, and much more to come up with this rather monochromatic and mysterious picture. I like how my painted circles echo the circle in the postage stamp as well as the white dots on the right. How much time did this take to make? About 12 hours, I believe. But it seemed like just two!
I'm a photographer, writer, educator based in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in photomontage work, combining photos I've taken of rust, walls, peeling paint, birds, postage stamps, trees, etc. into images that are completely new, different, and often weird. I also create physical collages, then find myself photographing parts of them to include in my photomontages. It's crazy, but it's fun! My career has encompassed writing guidebooks (primarily about where to photograph in California), newsletters (guides for photographers about where to photograph in the United States), leading photo workshops, and conducting online classes.
