The bay window in our great room frosts heavily on the inside when the outside temperature gets down into the teens. On a January morning the ice crystals grew into particularly pretty formations looking like leaves, fronds and feathers. Once sunlight and the warmer room air hit the window the miniature icy formations melted away.
In this image the blurry trees in the background and the blue sky contrasted nicely with the sharp ice crystals on the window.
