Located on Irmans Garcia Naveira Square in Betanzos, the fountain of Diana the Huntress is a faithful reproduction of the Diana of Versailles sculpture. It is made of cast iron on a stone base.
According to the plaque on its base, it was made in Paris
at the foundry Ducel e Hijos (Ducel and Sons), following the
project of the engineer Pedro Villar. At the feet of the statue stand
two sirens that hold a garland pedestal which holds up the sculpture of
the mythological goddess. The sculpture is attended by a buck and shows
four spouts.Chronology: 1866.
My inspiration in drawing was when I was 6 years old when I met my idol Ray Harryhuasen, his films inspired and motivated me. I have made illustrations, covers & posters for FANTASTIC FILMS-NEUTRON and for THE LOST WORLDS OF WILLIS O'BRIEN. I was born and raised in London, started drawing at the age of 6 loved drawing the marvel comics heroes and Ray Harryhausen monstrous. I was discouraged in high school, at the age of 13 I stopped drawing. When I got to my late 20's I felt the need to draw again so I self taught myself the art in drawing portraits with pastels.
