Around mid December last year, I got an exciting photo assignment from one of my industrial clients (how many of us can combine their professional line of work with their passion for photography)? The assignment required photographing over 600 images and processing about 250 of those to be delivered to the client before the end of January. In getting the job done on time (just last Friday night), I almost forgot what it was like to take time to myself to shoot nature and landscape subjects!
Leaving my office last Friday around 7:30 at night and after having processed the last of the images on this project, I stopped for a breather while warming-up the car. To my delightful surprise, I got a glimpse of this wonderful full moon rising bright in a cloudy blue and grey sky. I couldn't resist but pull my camera and tripod .... and Voila! My "Full Moon Rising - 1" is a landscape version of this one.

When I processed this image I purposely darkened it a bit more than what the original light was, only to highlight the shadows and the tones around the moon, still keeping the branches visible enough in an embracing position.
