I like this one too! I love to juxtapose photos and written material. Great color contrast.

Thanks Sandy.

The material was sent in a bag and was extremely creased

I am the artist who ordered these items. I was disappointed with the fleece blankets. The image printed crooked on 4 of the 5 blankets and the 'plush fleece' is very different from the plush fleece blankets I ordered previously. No where near as 'plush'. These blankets were unsellable. Also, one of the tapestries showed up with a thread that was pressed right into the fabric which made it unsellable as well. The reason I didn't ship these items back was due to the fact that by the time I received the order, there was insufficient time to return the order in time to meet the '30 day' from the date ordered deadline. This is the first time I've been disappointed with an order featuring my art by way of FAA. Sadly, it makes me hesitant to order again.

Artist's Description

I started working on The Bad Place in early 2005. My concept was a series of interrelated artworks that would provide the bones of a story that the viewers could organize and tell for themselves. The subject matter was to be the eternal struggle of Good vs. Evil. I began by developing a broad iconography of traditional Christian images, some Spanish Colonial imagery, a dollop of Mexican retablo art, along with a liberal dusting of vodun, mojo, gris-gris, and some general creepiness for good measure. I chose as the embodiment of Evil a young boy, whom I referred to as The Mage an ancient evil bent on destruction and mayhem. The icon of Good was a young girl, whom I eventually began to think of as Vanessa well, I had to call her something. These two, antagonist and protagonist, along with their respective minions and familiars, are engaged in the classic struggle for domination and control. Each image was created using co...

About Dominic Piperata

I have been making art in one form or another since I was very young, and it has remained a lifelong fascination for me. Although I attended an art school in California, I consider myself to be mostly self-taught. This is because I was in school back in the late 1960's and early 1970's, and in the 50-odd years since then, the various processes involved in creating and reproducing art have been profoundly changed by the inception of digital technologies. Most of the things we take for granted now, such as high-resolution digital cameras, professional inkjet printers, and powerful imaging technologies were only science fiction dreams back then. I maintain a healthy sense of curiosity about new technologies and am patient enough to research...
