This is a beautiful painting! The artist knows my husband and we were so excited to bring one of her pieces of art into our home! It's beyond what we expected! It is part of the background when I do virtual meetings (which I am in all day long) and I get so many compliments on how beautiful my "virtual backdrop is". When I tell people that it's my actual office, they always comment on the art!

Love this painting and so many compliments as it's in a treatment room where my husband is a Chiropractor. His patients love it!

The Lion And Lamb painting is absolutely beautiful and very anointed. It speaks such peace to me. We have been furnishing a missionary apartment and as soon as I saw this picture I knew it was the one! I know it will minister to each missionary that stays in our apartment just like it ministers to me.

She is very like my sweet Emma and I bought it in memory of her. Emma's room is now my office but the painting makes clear that it is still, first and foremost, kitty space. This piece comforts my heart every day. Emma has been gone for a year and I miss her incredibly.
Artist's Description
I started to paint Gandavenis Hybrid No.2 on the 16th of July, 2007 and finished it on the 29th of August, 2007. It is an oil on canvas and measures 80cm x 120cm. This is similar to the Crinum Bulbispermum series which I also began in 2004. This is the second time painted this flower and the most obvious difference between 2004 and 2007 is how the colours have become much stronger and more powerful, which actually reflects the changes I have gone through as an artist. This is one of the first paintings where I use acrylic paint as a coloured base over the first pencilled sketch before applying the oil paint. This technique gives the undiluted oil paint that stronger and more powerful effect.

Biography The art and talent of Marinella Marinella paints both Greek Icons and beautiful oil-on-canvas paintings of flowers using lush and vibrate colours. Drawing since her early childhood, at the age of 15 bought her first canvas and oils. In 1998 moved for two years to Hania, a town on the Greek Isle of Crete, there she studied the art of Greek Icons in a convent. Consequently decorated a small chapel on the outskirts of Hania with superb Icons, clearly demonstrating her natural talent for colour. On her...
