Each summer, a few dragonflies return to perch on the bamboo stakes in my small vegetable garden, leaving their dedicated posts only to snatch an intruder. This simple original poem attempts to pay them a bit of homage for their beauty and dedication. It is set on an original digital photo taken in my coastal Georgia backyard.
