Garmisch Gorge Water Fall

The name of the gorge is Partnachklamm . Partnach is the little river running through. It is also part of the complete city name Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Klamm is the German mixture of gorge and flume.

I like the strong contrast of water and rocks. The green leaves being the only color is nice too. And thank you for the comments on my photos.

Thanks Gene! Yes, it's a shame you where not able. I didn't get to see much either, it was only a one night stay in Garmish and a long drive from Kaiserslautern. :-) I forgot the name of the Gorge but that was all I was able to see and the Olympic stadium happenend to be right at the trailhead. Ich war eine Amerikanisher soldaten in Mainz. The one chance I had go to Garmish was with my unit and they had such a tight schedule I couldn't see the country side. This a cool pic; wish I'd been able to bum around the hills for a couple of days!
