We are all of us stars, and we deserve to twinkle.
~Marilyn Monroe
As you can see I am onto another idea :-) This time I am using my own original patterns and colors and merging them with Astrological Symbols. I have always loved Astrology and up until now I hadnt realized that the colors and ideas associated with Chakras were also corresponding to Astrological Signs. As soon as I realized that I had 12 signs to work with I decided to create a Calendar for next year with all of the signs on it.

Todays art is the symbol for Gemini and I hope you enjoy it :-)
May: Gemini : Muladhara : Root Chakra: Red
"Gemini - The Twins
May 21 - June 20
Flexibility, balance and adaptability are the keywords for the Gemini. They are quick to grasp the meaning of a situation and act on it, often with positive effects. They tend to have a duality to their nature, and can sometimes be tough to predict how they will react. They can turn from hot to cold and may be prone to noticeable mood swings. However, they are generous signs with tendencies of being affectionate, and imaginative. They also inspire others easily as they seem to naturally motivate themselves - their charisma and accomplishments are infectious. Geminians are very supportive, and are especially good at promotions, sales, and driving hard bargains. "http://www.whats-your-sign.com/zodiac-signs-and-meanings.html
"1. ROOT or BASE CHAKRA (Muladhara)
The 4th Ray of "Harmony through Conflict" governs the base chakra or root. This chakra symbol represents the most earth centered chakra. It stands for our inherited beliefs through our formative years. Self-preservation, personal survival and our identification with the physical world centers in this bottom most of the main seven chakras.
A healthy root chakra connects you with vitality to your family of origin, your immediate society and to the global community. If your 0-7 years were challenging and without love, then this damaged root chakra will function much differently. Issues of survival such as emotional dysfunction, stress, anxiousness, and restlessness will plague you.
Youll have fears of letting go, scarcity, poor boundaries, and more. Its during the 0-7 years that we learn about where we fall in our relationships with siblings, parents, our community, and how we relate to them.
Health issues: Joint pain, lower backache, elimination problems, obesity, constipation, anorexia, and poor immune system function.
What beliefs did you inherit or learn from your family?
Is there unfinished business between you and your parents?
What limiting beliefs did you learn about personal survival and money?
Do you have personal boundaries that you maintain?
Is it difficult for you to bond with others?
Are you often sick or suffering from illness?
Transcendence of unloving imprints in this chakra: "Others show you yourself and what you need to work on within, by their reflection of your own rejected or denied emotions."" www.2012-spiritual-growth-prophecies.com/chakra-symbols.html
