Karen Cattel is a special artist and her whimsical art looks great on the two sturdy totes I purchased. One is a gift for a friend and the other is for me. I love them.

I so appreciate being able to have this old-fashioned outdoor dinner scene on a tote bag. It is adorable. Thank you for making it available.

I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

Have not received my Can’t send photo…. Have not received my purchase

My first career is that of a registered nurse; after 15 years working as a health professional I decided to become a stay-at-home mom for my two children. Always having been an artist of sorts; prior to nursing school I had been a stained glass artist for many years and have always "dabbled" in creative endeavors. It wasn't until I started taking drawing and painting classes several years ago that I discovered my love for painting, which I have been immersed in ever since. I have sold work while exhibiting in area art shows, restaurants and local galleries. I love nature, the outdoors and the ocean, so a lot of my work reflects that; I also love to inject humor and whimsy into my paintings when the mood strikes me....

Al Fresko
3/25/2015. Dear Ms. Longhini: When I requested the first batch of images from you, I actually had to restrain myself. There were many more pictures I would have liked to request from you, but I didn't want to overdo things. However, I see you as a major "power house" in the group, a source of a lot of diverse, sometimes offbeat, but powerful impressions. If you are "rarin' to go," as I think you are, I would definitely like you to contribute some more of your work to our group. I hope you've been able to look at the two shows we've created. (at Ideart & at Ideart Phase 2.) If you have, you will see a lot of very impressive work. I would like to make sure that Ideart 3 is no slouch from the beginning. Here are the images I would request that you submit: 1. Being Human, 2. Spring Awakening, 3. Unanswered Prayers, 4. Enveloped in Love, 5. Lighthouse Park Carousel, & 6. Geometric Abstract. If you would like to put more of your energy into our new group, I think we would all benefit. Yours, Al Fresko. P.S. I've been meaning to tell you that when I first saw your "Naval Oranges," I burst out laughing. That is one of the most clever pictures I've ever seen.
Cindy Lee Longhini replied:
Wow, Al, I am so very complimented! I will submit any and all images that you like; it seems that when I start feeling like my art is too "quirky" and not conforming to what people like, I get a boost from someone like you, who lifts me up and pushes me forward. I thank you for that and I am also happy that I made you laugh; as I was painting that piece I was cackling all the way through! I'm going to do another piece called "Army Fatigues" Salvadore Dali style with bunk beds and army uniforms "dripping" down from the bunks. Tee hee!
