Magnificent Watercolour Portrait, Barbara!!! Love it!!! This wonderful portrait is amazingly realistic capturing a gentle, kind expression on your brother's face. He must be honored! F/V/G+posted

Barbara McMahon replied:

Thank you for your wonderful comment Glenna! George has finally seen himself on the internet and read the posts. I do believe he is starting to sport a little "smile".

Barb has certainly captured George's pensive mood. He is a quiet "country gentleman" with a touch of mystery. He has been my friend and "other half" for 27 years.

Barbara McMahon replied:

Hi Chris! George is lucky to have you as his "other half".

Wonderful image. Lots of emotion. I have featured on Proud To Be A Canadian Artist-v

Barbara McMahon replied:

Barbara McMahon replied:

Thank you Hanne! George will be thrilled to hear that you think he is a "Character"!! He likes to portray that, but he's really just a soft cuddly teddy bear! I'll have to let him read these posts! Thanks again for your support!

It was so soft! My fan loved it!

September 27th, 2018

The fabric is soft. Seems absorbent. Bought these to put them in the pool area of our home. Our home name is “Hotel California” and these towels added to the theme wonderfully. I would recommend and buy them again.

Love it. Made a nice fireplace screen!

I am not happy with this towel at all. You can't see the face because it is bigger than what I viewed. I would like to send it back

This was a birthday gift for my aunt. The flower was one of her mother's favorite and hummingbirds were her sisters favorite. Every year we go to the beach in memory of her sister so this was just perfect! Thank you!

Artist's Description

On September 13, 2015, George, my dear brother suddenly passed away. He loved this painting of himself as he enjoyed remaining a man of some "mystery". He also enjoyed reading viewer's comments and although he was a modest man, found it rather amusing to be on the "internet". Thank you to all who have commented. Each comment made him smile. George, you will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved you. A portrait is a painting, photograph, sculpture, or other artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant. The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person. A portrait often shows a person looking directly at the painter or photographer, in order to most successfully engage the subject with the viewer. Who is George? Beneath that face that gives nothing away, George Widomski is a soft spoken country gentleman, of Polish heritage, that is always willing to lend an ear and remain non-judgemental. From viewi...

Barbara paints in watercolour, oil and acrylic to portray her visions, but of late has begun to capture the split second in time with an average Canon DSLR camera. Without a telephoto lens she is often intimately and at times, dangerously close to her...
