One cannot but think of the battles there. This is beautiful and yet haunting at the same time. You've captured that very well. Well done!

Beautiful pastel work... well done, Joann... Ana

This is a lovely village called "MAIKAMMER". The wine of this area is so good. It makes the people happy. What a wonderful picture you have taken, Philip! I love it.

I ordered this bag to be used by my very handsome 84 year old gentleman friend when he goes to water aerobics with me everyday, He grew up in Harvey Illinois as the oldest of five children in a economically challenged family. There were no books in his home and he was thrilled to find a public library where they let you borrow books to take home and read. It was the start of a lifetime of the love of reading and learning and the pathway for financial success. Thank you William Brody for creating this painting.

About Joann Renner

Joann Renner

I use color and depth of field composition to engage the viewer. I love old architecture, how color and light move over architectural elements and textures, enhancing a feeling of the intangible within a place or thing. It can be beauty, awareness of past events and their effects on the community consciousness, the vibrancy of everyday life in a community, or simply a sense of being. Architecture breathes with the life of its community. It can also be a metaphor for possibilities and uncertainties as we travel through our day-to-day lives. This is often reflected in our responses to our surroundings. Oil color glazing techniques accentuate color effects and mood. I sketch outdoors or use my own reference...
