Like the logo but not the tank top so much it rides to low at the front and the back.
This is the gray layer of the Flemish Method of painting 7 layers. This would be considered layer #3. I worked for 12 painting sessions to complete this layer. I have started on the color layer of the horses/riders, and when completed I will return to the gray layer of the background. I have no photo reference for the background because I changed it to be a better composition to lead the eye to the riders. This method produces very realistic paintings that are very 3D. I have completed several other Flemish paintings that can be seen in my Flemish Method Gallery.

Thank you very much Lenore. Sharon, the Flemish method is very easy to follow, and just develops as you do each layer. Anand, Yes the Flemish method is 7 layers "repainting the same thing one layer at a time". 1. The impirmatura tones the canvas. 2 First Umber layer, 3. 2nd umber layer to deepen shadows, 4. Doovert or dead layer is in tones of gray like a b&w photo, 5 frist color layer, 6 2nd color layer, 7. finishing glazes and highlights. It is just a process that I like. I dont paint subjects like the "old masters", but I use their method (as best we know it) to get the results they got and guarantee my paintings will last 300 years. (LOL - if they dont I will give you your money back! LOL)

I am planning on a polo series and some Eventing work because I think in that crowd I might be able to sell them. Good to sell when one works so hard and long with this Flemish method of 7 layer paintings. smile Roena
