Artist's Description
A stormy day at a public flower garden in western Oregon. There are mainly beds of various types and colors or iris, but interspersed are nicely color coordinated groups of flowers that go well with iris. The front bed contains giant allium as well as columbine. The allium heads are huge and perfectly symmetrical. They look very impressive towering above all the other flowers.
About Jean Noren
My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible. Enjoy the photos.
